 The Most Important Part of Your Stress Survival Guide?

Self-care! Make sure you are taking care of yourself first and foremost. I see a therapist regularly and I feel like it’s really made me realize that I need to help myself before I can do anything else. Also, take things ONE TASK AT A TIME. When I’m really stressing, I not only pray, but also try to talk myself gently through one simple task at a time.

 

Herbs, Teas and Ways You Keep Your Immune System Strong?

I make sure I’m always taking vitamin C. I take about three to five grams daily, but if I’m under any mental or physical stress I up the amount by a lot, up to 20 grams some days! Also, I love making smoothies with tons of fruits and veggies like kale, spinach, blueberries, cherries, etc. It’s a great way to get in all your vitamins and minerals! Also, not an herb, but I get lots of sleep! I always fight for seven to nine hours per night.

 

What Shift Did You Notice When You Moved Over to a Plant-based Diet?

I know this may not make sense, but I felt lighter… like spiritually almost. I can’t explain it. Eating this way resonates with my body. Also, when I stopped eating meat, I noticed I didn’t have to count calories anymore. My body naturally stayed at a healthier weight.

 

What Have You Struggled With, and How Did You Work Through it?

The biggest struggle of my adult life has been chronic pain. I dealt with some severe dance injuries growing up. Long story short, they never fully healed and now I deal with pain every day of my life. Doctors haven’t been able to figure out why I’m not healing yet, so that has been frustrating. This long, painful journey has resulted in depression in recent years. A few months ago, I started taking anti-depressants, and around the same time, I felt like God spoke to me and told me I was going to Nashville. Welp, another very long story short, we are here now and we are loving it! The change has been transformative and I have felt so much more at peace with my physical pain lately and where I am in life. I also have met some other incredible humans recently with similar stories and it has resulted in some soul healing.

 

Tell Us About Your Inspiration for Your YouTube Channel.

My inspiration changes all the time, but I feel like right now it’s truly inspired by the people and places around me. Moving to a new town has given me so many new exciting opportunities, I mean, it’s Music City… how fun is that?! I love Nashville and the people here, and I think it’s showing in my videos.

 

Your Top Tips for Peeps Wanting to Embrace a Healthier Lifestyle?

 

1} Drink lots of water! It is so important. Carry around a cute bottle/tumbler to remind yourself to keep drinking! My drink is like my accessory!

 

2} Get sleep, even if you have to go home a little early from somewhere fun. Protect your sleep! It is one of the best ways to stay healthy, it keeps you feeling and looking young, and it also keeps you mentally sane.

 

3} Cook from home! Look up recipes and try out different foods. Be adventurous and eat the rainbow! It feels so good to cook a meal from scratch. It legit gives you confidence, and it is so much healthier!

 

4} Start making small decisions today. You don’t have to go full force right away, but make a choice to go on a walk instead of watching television, or pick fruit over a cookie! It’s all about baby steps! Try to go through each day by focusing on making just one decision at a time to avoid feeling overwhelmed!
